In today’s post we will be having a quick look at 3 power PPC tools we use here at SYNQ Digital, the idea behind this post is to be a quick & easy read while giving you a better understanding on 3 potential tools you may like to incorporate int your PPC activities.

At a glance…

Optmyzr (pronounced “Optimizer”) is a tool designed to make SEM optimisation easier. It is a software product that integrates directly with AdWords & Bing. It has a bunch of pre-set optimisations allowing you to save loads of time when managing accounts.

Some samples…
  • AB testing for ads (automatically suggests losing ad copy based on CTR or Conv. Rate to pause)
  • Hour of Week Bid Adjustments (visual tool for helping you set hour of day & day of week bid adjustments on a campaign or account level).
  • Geo & Device bid adjustments (automatically suggests geo bid adjustments by location & campaign)

Who is This For?

Anyone who can grasp an understanding of formula’s & would like to automate detailed processes, allowing for AdWords accounts to be semi-self-managed.

So, Is it Worth It?

I have found this powerful tool to be very helpful with managing changes around bid adjustments, and fantastic at identifying opportunities from a geographic data view. Overall, I do think this is worth the investment as it gives a very friendly user-experience.

PPC Samurai was created by an Australian entrepreneur named Shaun Bond. It is a script based tool allowing you to establish an amazing level of control, customization & automation to your Google AdWords accounts.

For example, it can notify you for basic alerts such as 404 errors, changes in spend or clicks on a day to day basis.

It can find new search terms that have triggered clicks or conversions above a set threshold then put these into their own ad groups automatically. Essentially creating new SKAGs automatically to keep enhancing your accounts. This is just one of endless examples of how you can save hours vs. manually running changes to your account.

Who is This For?

Ideal for process driven account managers who have a very set & logical way of doing things.

So, Is it Worth It?

In my experience using this tool the only area lacking is that of the interface & usability. I sometimes find the experience lacking flow & intuitiveness however Shaun at PPC Samurai is highly responsive willing to train you.

At a glance…

Karooya is a negative keyword finding tool. It claims to benefit your account by preventing wasted ad spend by blocking irrelevant & poor performing keywords. This tool can find negative keywords for the account or campaign & automatically analyize search query reports sourcing keywords that contribute to higher CPA’s and/or low CTR’s.

Some great ways this tool can improve your account are:

  • Boost CTR
  • Increase Quality Score
  • Lower Cost per Click
  • Lower CPA’s

Time poor account manager with large accounts containing tens of thousands of keywords.

So, Is it Worth It?

Negative keywords are often undervalued and often perceived as creating potential problems in your account, and this can be very true. This tool is handy as it allows you to establish a clear view of the opportunities to apply (or un-apply) the use of negative keywords and reap the benefits of an intelligently structured account.

At Synq Digital we use these tools to manage our clients PPC accounts & get the maximum performance. On top of this we have a proprietary process to ensure your account gets looked at on a daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly basis.
