The 2019 SEMrush Search Awards

The 2019 SEMrush Search Awards
November 19, 2019 Paul - Head of Operations

We were both thrilled and honoured to be shortlisted as a finalist for the 2019 SEMrush search awards. So the team involved in our submission made the short trek up to Sydney to be there for the awards night.

We started our day in a session with our agency representative team at Google, spending the day working through our agency performance, touring their amazing office and facilities, and ending our time with Google having lunch in one of about 5 or 6 restaurants within their office. My highlight was getting into the studio and having some much needed time on the drum kit in there. Such an amazing idea, and definitely a great way to unwind and disconnect. Google spend so much time and resource into promoting a healthy work life balance, and after touring their multiple office spaces up in Sydney, we think they have nailed it!

Nestled in one of the many atriums and spaces in the Sydney Opera House, with an uninhibited view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge (probably the only thing Sydney has on Melbourne), the night started with pre drinks in the foyer, spending quality time networking and socialising with competing agencies, ex colleagues and like-minded individuals.

The SEMrush Awards celebrate the successes of agencies, clients and professionals on our outstanding work in the industry, bringing the success we bring our clients to the forefront, by rewarding and recognising the best of the best. Why were we there? Well, we were shortlisted as a finalist for the best B2C campaign for the campaign we ran for Jayco’s 2019 Adventure Sale.

Best B2C Campaign

‘Judges are to looking to award the very best business to consumer campaign, this can be either an ongoing or one-off campaign. Entries can either relate to a specific business sector or the wider business community. Judges are looking for entries where the strategy has had a significant effect and contribution to the brand / product / service objectives’

Sadly, we missed out on the chocolates this time, however, for myself, and for the team, it was an honour and great to be part of such a special night in our industry, surrounded by the best of the best when it comes to search in Australia. A special mention and congratulations goes to Web profits on their win, and a massive thank you to SEMrush for putting on such an amazing event. We can’t wait to get back there next year!
